Director of Social Media

Initially joining Kings Garden as a freelance social media manager in December 2019, and promoted to Director of Social Media in May of 2020, I created the social media strategy, content across brand and executive profiles, oversaw customer service and the social media team. 

Working with 300 retail locations across California, I created customized promotional assets and marketing strategies for partnerships, events and influencers. Further, I initiated and developed King Garden’s first product guide, onboarding and maintaining project timelines with external freelancers, product descriptions and copywriting. 

Community engagement and content was a significant catalyst for success with 100K+ organic followers gained on Instagram and 22K+ on TikTok through authentic connection with our audience and working closely with cultivation and extraction teams to showcase the behind-the-scenes aspect of one of the largest cannabis producers in California.

Accomplishments

  • Social Media

    Directed omni-channel content strategy from ideation to execution across all social platforms, (TikTok, YouTube, Meta, Pinterest, and Instagram), growing Instagram followers by 100K+ and TikTok by 22K+ organically.

    Oversaw customer service, PR, and partnerships and social media team, creating new channels and messaging to solidify brand loyalty and increase visibility.

    Led all content creation, collaborating across the organization to showcase advanced cultivation, extraction and processing techniques for B2C and B2B audiences.

    Designed and launched the company’s first retail product guide, managing external freelancers and vendors, creating product descriptions and promotions across 300+ retailers.

    Developed and executed the creation of retail partnership marketing materials, coordinating cross-promotions and campaigns across 300+ retailers.

    Collaborated with manufacturing, marketing and sales teams to align messaging, promotional materials and consumer education with market trends and data.

    Implemented competitor, consumer, and KPI research, audits and analysis to identify trends and optimize content for increased engagement, boosting Instagram average daily interactions by 157%.
